Why not buy your furniture from an upholsterer?

An upholsterer will know what's on the inside of that chair. He can tell you if it has 8-way hand tied springs, or if the legs are actually part of the frame. He can discuss the content of the fabric and its durability. If there is a problem and you have to call for a repair, you will always reach not only the salesperson but the guy who understands and can correct it.

We now offer

Early American Upholstered Furniture and  Fabrics

Proudly Made in the USA (in North Carolina)

Dunroven House custom furniture is designed and crafted in North Carolina and is simply the finest available.  The frame is all native pre-dried hardwood with rigid, triple fastened construction.  Arm covers are standard with every piece and the decking is covered with matching upholstery fabric, not the usual muslin or inexpensive fabric.  We offer a wide range of fabrics that complements each style of furniture that we build.  Legs are made in the Chippendale style and may be stained in Dark Brown Cherry, Black, Distressed Black, Oak, Pecan, or Dark Walnut.  We offer no-sag springs standard but eight way hand tied are available on most styles for an additional charge.  You may accessorize your upholstered pieces with matching or coordinated pillows and shams, throws, coverlets, and chairpads.
